Recruitment and Training

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do, and they will surprise you with their ingenuity."

General George S. Patton Jnr.

Even in a very small business, it is important to allocate the task of credit control to an individual so that there is consistency in chasing late payments and that this vital job is not left to chance or to someone with "a few minutes to spare".

If debts are chased in a professional manner, the company will retain the respect and goodwill of the customer. It is essential to have the right person doing this job and worthwhile spending time and effort on recruiting and training.

There are number of training courses available in collecting accounts receivable, the psychology of credit, telephone techniques, writing effective letters and legal procedures.
